This is the correct way to reach the so called "easter egg" on these boxes. The one already available here is plain wrong :(
1. Hold shift and the numberpad * on the keyboard (you'll need one) while you reboot the box (it looks like the 'play' sign backwards).
2. when you see a row of * along the top of the screen you can let go of the two keys (shift and *)
2. now press ctrl-V then ctrl-L.
3. The screen will refresh, press enter (return) a couple of times.
4. If you can see anything, try holding down a letter key, and see if it scrolls across the screen. (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)
5. to set the text area to a more useable size use the built in BBC Basic.
6. type basic and hit return
7. type (in upercase) VDU 28,4,30,74,1 and hit return
8. type QUIT and hit return
9. prel Ctrl-L to clear screen and press return.

typing help will give you a load of info, too much for here.

Dont celebrate, this is not a tough nut to crack, and is not cause for clebration. This will work, don't be suprised, it was made to do this!

Will work on PACE DSL 4000 & PACE DSL 3875.
