1) Go to "www.google.com"
2) In the search box type "answer to life, the universe and everything" (without quotation marks)
3) Click "Google Search" button
Google says that the answer is "42" and give you access to its calculator.
This egg has previously been posted to this archive as "GOOGLE CALCULATOR EGG", but the author didn't explained it well.
The answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything, as given by the supercomputer Deep Thought to a group of mice in Douglas Adams's comic science fiction series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, is "42".
If you want further information read Adams's books: they are great and very amusing science fiction books ... you'll find yourself laughing while reading about spaceships and planets.

I don't think you read all of the books. 42 is only the answer, the question was never found out until later. The question was "How many dots are on the controls to life?" The reason behind the answer is simple. There are 42 dots on a pair of dice. Life's controls is luck and chance.

The Hitch Hikers guide to the galaxy is mistaken. Anyone with half a brain knows that it is 37 and a quarter. I am serious if you multiply the number of people alive at any one time by the number whos brains function properly then divide it by the amount of people who live in poverty then subtract the number of famous people you get 37. Then you add the percentage that have made something of their lives and that is 24.7% but lets call it 25%. That's a quarter. And 37 + a quarter = 37 and a quarter. I hope I have cleared things up.
