You can access the BlackBerry Hidden Field Test Mode on these devices by doing the following:
Press TOOLS, SETTINGS, STATUS or OPTIONS, STATUS.
Most GSM and iDEN models are known have this hidden menu available to the end user. The top line that's displayed is the signal strength in -dBm.
