Microsoft Word 2002 XP - Interesting Tips

Suggested by: Douglas C 01 Mar 2007 Print version

1. Open Microsoft Word, change your Office Assistant to Links (it may work with others, but I know it works with Links), and enable Tip Of The Day.

2. Repeatedly Open and close Word. Each time you'll get a tip. There are 3 odd ones that I know of (one about scissors, one about swimming and one about fashion - there may be more hidden in there somewhere).

Actually, I was the first to say not to run with scissors. And axes will hurt as well. F1 - Mar 28 2008 9:17AM

I have chosen Merlin, opened and closed Word several times, and here’s what I got: “Plaid shirts and striped pants rarely make a positive fashion statement”. valeriuginghina - Sep 12 2007 11:08PM

This is great i read this egg and then i went to word to try it and as soon as i got into word my mother nature assistant said do not swim in murky waters, i had never seen that tip before. I wonder if this was just a coincidence. Mother nature - Jun 16 2007 11:00PM

Yes I am rather clever. DO NOT run with scissors. I mean it. And could someone scratch my ear? Links - Apr 17 2007 3:07PM

Heh, yes this has happened to me before. Links told me once that "It's never to late to learn to play the piano." Quite ironically, I am a pianist who has been wondering if I started practicing to late! Links knows all... muwahahahaaa... me - Mar 2 2007 9:16PM
