1: Start a battle mode.
2: Play around until you get a mushroom.
3: When you get the mushroom, and need to escape a red turtle shell, use it at the right time INTO the wall, and you will go through the wall, and be safe for a few more seconds.
I only tried this on the water level, might work on others.
