When US Marines helicopter crashes after a nuclear explosion occurs nearby, Jackson initially survives but dies from radiation poisoning soon after crawling out of the wreckage.
By surviving for a long enough time, the player can hear a girl's voice saying "I love you daddy", implying that Jackson is a father. Soon after, he topples to the ground and moans and breathes unusually heavily before he dies.
