To build a floating house first build pillars where you want your floor to be on top of. If you don't put a pillar on every single spot where you want a floor for your house, you will have holes in your floor. Next click on 2nd story and bulid your house however you want it. Last, click on 1st story and delete all of the pillars. The house will remain in the air and will appear to float.
