1: While the scanner is still on, set the address in the back to zero.
2: Turn off the scanner.
3: While holding the green button in the front, turn the scanner on.
4: Hold the button until the scanner starts making noise.
This has only been tried on Hewlett Packard 5p-5pSE scanners. If you find more printers or scanners with a "talent", please post it here and tell me.
