1: While the Hewlett Packard 5100 scanner is still on, set the address in the back to zero.
2: Turn off the scanner.
3: While holding the green button in the front, turn it on.
4: Hold the button until the scanner starts making noise.
This has only been tried on Hewlett Packard 5p-5pSE scanners.
This also seems to work on the 5200C, although you can't call the effect 'music', it will start to move the scan head back and forth a few inches repeatedly. Sgt.Jackhacker - May 10 2007 7:49AM
