Home Star Planetarium

In the movie K-PAX, our character visits a dazzling planetarium with a wide view of the heavens above. To experience ourselves this mesmerizing effect, but at home, the hi-tec home star planetarium gives us this experience with its realistic projection of the skies displaying over 10,000 stars. It slots in one of two high-resolution image disks that come with the device (one of the stars, the other of the sun, moon, and Earth); both are illuminated by a powerful LED built into the globe. The image of each can be projected onto the ceiling or a wall using the optical-quality adjustable-focus lens.

The view is of the visible band of the Milky Way galaxy as seen from the Northern Hemisphere. The planetarium has a whisper-quiet motor that simulates the turning of the Earth by slowly moving the image. Includes an ambient planetarium background music CD and is powered by AC or three AA batteries.

A wonderful educational tool and relaxing to watch too.
