We do love our pets don't we, but most of us get annoyed at the loud constant barking of our own, or the neighborhood dog - particularly at night when a full days work is ahead. By emitting an ultrasonic sound-wave when a dogs bark is in audio proximity of the deterrent, it will harmlessly startling the dog into silence. The sound is of course silent to our own ears.
